Auto Data

Find your exact engine. Not a rough match.

Most services ask you to type a model name into a box and hope. Remapify carries a real vehicle database, so you drill down to the exact engine variant and we both know what we are working on before a file is uploaded.

  • Drill-down search

Vehicle type, make, model, then the engine variant itself. No guessing between two cars that share a badge.

  • Solutions mapped per engine

See which services are available for that specific engine before you order, along with the ECUs it ships with.

  • Auto-fills your order

Pick your engine and the submission form fills itself in. Fewer typos, fewer questions, faster turnaround.

  • Always growing

New engines and corrections go in continuously. If yours is missing, tell us and we will add it.

Instant when it can be. Hand-written when it counts.

Every calibration in our library was written by the same tuner, by hand. When your read matches one of them exactly, the portal applies it and checks it in seconds, so you are flashing before you have put the tools away. When it does not, it goes on the bench and gets written from scratch.

What you get back

Your file. Not a file that looks like yours.

Two cars wearing the same badge can carry different calibrations, so nothing here is matched on a model name. Here is what actually happens to the read you upload.

  • We change your read, not a template

The file you download is the file you uploaded, byte for byte, apart from the regions that had to change. Nothing is rebuilt from a stock file and nothing is swapped for somebody else's.

  • Matched on a checksum, not a name

For an instant file, the checksum of your read has to equal the checksum of the original the calibration was written against. Not the same car. Not the same software number. The same bytes.

  • Every change is checked against your file first

Before a single byte is written, the original content of every region being modified has to be found in your own file, exactly where it is expected. If one region does not match, nothing is produced.

  • Ten checks, and it is all or nothing

Size, direction, magnitude, overlap and protected regions are all verified on the finished file. It is released only if every check passes. A half-written file is never produced.

If your read is not in the library, none of that applies to it: it goes on the bench and the tuner writes it from your file by hand.

Solutions

What we write.

Pick one remap and add whatever else the job needs. Everything is written against your specific engine, whether it comes back in seconds or off the bench.

  • Stage 1

Software-only remap on completely stock hardware. The everyday gain, and the one most customers want.

  • Stage 2

For cars already carrying an intake, exhaust or downpipe. The map is written around the hardware you actually have.

  • Stage 3

Built engines and upgraded turbos. Quoted per job, because no two of these are the same car.

  • DPF and EGR

Particulate filter and exhaust gas recirculation solutions. Off-road, motorsport and export use only.

  • AdBlue and SCR

AdBlue and SCR system solutions for trucks, agricultural and commercial vehicles. Same terms of use.

  • DTC delete

Clear a specific stored fault code from the calibration once the underlying cause is understood and handled.

  • Vmax, pops and launch

Speed limiter removal, overrun crackle and launch control on platforms that support them. Ask first if you are unsure.

  • Everything else

Gearbox work, odd platforms and anything outside the standard list. Send the details and you will get a straight answer.

Emissions equipment solutions are supplied for off-road, motorsport and export use only.

Process

Three steps, and often no waiting.

No back and forth about what car it is, and on a library match nothing to wait for at all.

  1. Find and upload

Pick your engine out of the database, read the ECU with your tool, and upload the original file to your account.

  2. Choose instant or by hand

Files already in our library come back in seconds. Prefer a human on it either way? Tick the box and it goes straight to the tuner instead.

  3. Download and drive

The finished file lands back in your account, ready to flash. Questions go in the job thread and come straight to the tuner.

How it feels

Written in Finland. Driven in winter.

These files get tested where the weather is honest about them. If a calibration is going to feel wrong at minus twenty on a cold start, it does not leave the shop.

Reviews

What customers say.

Reviews are from real customers. We do not offer anything in exchange for a review.

  • Files come back fast and spot-on. The engine database alone saves me so much time finding the right variant. Support is top notch.

Questions

The things people ask before ordering.

If yours is not here, ask before you upload anything. A straight answer costs nothing.

  • What kind of ECU file do you need?

A master file: an open, unencrypted read taken from the ECU with your own tool. Slave and encrypted files are rejected, because they cannot be opened and modified. Full, partial and virtual reads are all accepted, and the upload limit is 50 MB, which is comfortably above a full read from a modern ECU.

  • Which tuning tools do you support?

Any tool that produces a master read. The submission form lists Autotuner, KESS3, KTAG, MPPS, CMD Flash, Trasdata and New Trasdata, Dimsport New Genius, FoxFlash, PCMFlash and Magic Motorsport Flex, and there is an Other option for anything not on that list. File names and extensions do not matter, the file is checked by its contents.

  • Do I get a generic file, or do you modify my own read?

Your own read. The file you download is the file you uploaded, byte for byte, apart from the regions that had to change. For an instant delivery the checksum of your read has to equal the checksum of the original the calibration was written against, and the original content of every region being changed is verified in your file before a single byte is written. If your read is not in the library, a tuner writes it from your file on the bench.

  • Do you need my ECU software number?

We take the ECU from the vehicle database when you pick your engine, and if that engine ships with more than one ECU you tell us which one, or say you are not sure rather than guessing. What identifies the file is the read itself. For an instant delivery it is matched on a checksum of the actual bytes, which is a stricter test than a software number: two files can share a number and differ.

  • What checking happens before a file is released?

Ten checks on the finished file. The original content of every modified region has to be present in your file, the size has to be unchanged, changed regions may not overlap or fall in a protected area, and the file has to differ from what you sent. It is released only if every check passes, and a half-written file is never produced. Anything written by hand goes out under the tuner's own judgement instead.

  • How long does a tuning file take?

If your exact read is already in our library, the tuned file comes back in seconds: the same calibration the tuner wrote by hand is re-applied to the file it was written against, and checked before it is released. If it is not in the library, a working tuner writes it from scratch and you are kept updated in the job thread on that order.

  • Is checksum correction included?

Most current tools correct checksums as they write, so on a normal job that is where it is handled and there is nothing for you to add. If yours does not, add the Checksum option when you order, or just ask in the job thread and we will sort it. That same option also covers a file that was modified somewhere else and arrives with its checksums broken.

  • What if the car does not run right on the file?

Tell us in the job thread what the car is doing, with logs if you can take them, and the file is reworked at no extra cost within 30 days of delivery. The thread stays open on every job, including after it is closed, so there is always somewhere to raise it and it goes straight to the tuner.

  • What is the difference between Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3?

Stage 1 is a software-only remap on completely standard hardware, which is what most customers want. Stage 2 is written around hardware you have already fitted, such as an intake, exhaust or downpipe. Stage 3 covers built engines and upgraded turbos, and is quoted per job because no two of those cars are the same.

  • Do you supply DPF, EGR and AdBlue solutions?

Yes, for off-road, motorsport and export use only. There is one restriction we enforce in the software rather than in the small print: emissions equipment solutions are not sold to private individuals in Finland, only to trade customers. Everywhere else they are ordered like any other solution, and the terms of use still apply.

  • What vehicles do you cover?

Cars, vans, motorcycles, trucks and agricultural machinery. The vehicle database carries over 10,000 engine variants, so you pick your exact engine rather than a rough model match before anything is uploaded.

  • What if my vehicle is not in the database?

You can still order. The submission form has a My vehicle is not listed option that lets you type the details in by hand, and there is a report link on every engine page. Missing entries and corrections are added continuously.

  • Who can open an account?

Signing up is free and takes a couple of minutes, and every account is reviewed by the operator before it is activated. This is a trade portal, so tell us who you are and what you work on when you apply.

  • How does payment work?

You buy credits with a card through Stripe, and each job spends credits from your balance. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and never touch our site. Every purchase produces an invoice you can download from your account. Refund terms are in the Terms of Service.

  • Is my file kept private?

Yes. Files are held in private storage, never in a public bucket, and are readable only through your own account. Two-factor authentication is required on every account, with an authenticator app or emailed codes. Nothing you upload is shared with anyone else.

  • Who is behind Remapify?

Remapify is run by a working tuner in Finland, operating as Ainamotive Oy. Files are written and tested in Finnish conditions, which is a harder test of a cold start than most places give one. Questions in a job thread come straight to the tuner, not to a call centre.
