Mappack converter
KP to XDF converter: open a WinOLS map pack in TunerPro
Have a WinOLS map pack (.kp) and want to work in TunerPro? Upload the .kp and download a TunerPro XDF with every map, axis and scaling defined at the same address. Packs from WinOLS 2.24 through the current release are read, and the same upload can also become a WinOLS CSV or a pack for an older WinOLS.
How it works
Four steps, a couple of minutes.
01
Open the converter
Log in and open the Mappack converter in your account. New here? Create a free account first; it is reviewed before it is activated.
02
Upload the map pack
Drop in the .kp file, or a full WinOLS CSV export. It is read straight away and you see which WinOLS format it is and how many maps it holds before you spend anything.
03
Choose TunerPro XDF
Or any of the other outputs. Each one says up front what it keeps and what it cannot carry.
04
Load it in TunerPro
Download the .xdf, open it in TunerPro alongside your read, and the maps are there under the same folders they had in WinOLS.
What carries over
- Every value map, curve and single value, with its axes.
- WinOLS factor and offset, written as TunerPro equations.
- Data layout: cell size, byte order, signedness, floats and row or column order.
- Map names, units, IdNames and comments. Names become XDF titles, IdNames and comments become descriptions.
- The folder structure, which becomes TunerPro categories.
What to know first
- Bit-field maps have no XDF equivalent. The converter warns you when a pack contains them, so you know which maps to check in TunerPro.
- Packs from WinOLS 2.24 through the current release are read. The pack reader is checked against WinOLS' own CSV export of the same pack, column for column.
Outputs
Pick the file your software opens.
The same upload can become any of these. Each one is described the same way inside the converter, before you choose.
TunerPro XDF
Choose this to open the maps in TunerPro instead of WinOLS.
WinOLS CSV map pack
The most widely compatible option. Import it into just about any WinOLS from 3.x upwards, and edit the list in a spreadsheet first if you want to.
WinOLS map pack (2.24 and older)
Only if your WinOLS is the old 2.24 release, which cannot open the newer pack format.
WinOLS map pack (4.x / 5.x)
A modern WinOLS map pack you can open directly, on a current WinOLS install.

Questions
Before you convert.
Can TunerPro open a WinOLS .kp file?
Not directly. TunerPro reads its own XDF definition files, so the map pack has to be converted first. Upload the .kp here, choose TunerPro XDF, and open the result in TunerPro with your read.
Which WinOLS map packs can be converted?
Packs saved by WinOLS 2.24 through the current release, plus a full WinOLS CSV export. When you upload a file the converter tells you which format it found before you choose an output.
Can I open a new WinOLS map pack in WinOLS 2.24?
Yes. Upload the newer .kp and choose the WinOLS 2.24 map pack. That format has no room for axis IdNames or nested folders, so those are dropped and each map's folder path is folded into its name instead.
Do I need to upload my ECU read?
No. A map pack and an XDF both describe where the maps are and how to read them, not the calibration itself. Only the definition file is uploaded, and your read never leaves your own machine.
Which maps do not convert cleanly to XDF?
Bit-field maps, because the XDF format has no way to describe them. The converter warns you when a pack contains them, so you know which maps to check. Everything else in the pack carries over with its axes and scaling.
I do not have a KP or XDF. Can you make one?
Yes. We can make a WinOLS map pack or a TunerPro XDF for any ECU. Open a support ticket from your account, or email info@remapify.net, with the ECU and its software version, and you will get a quote.
What does a conversion cost?
Uploading your file and seeing what is in it is free. Producing a converted file costs credits from your account balance, and the price is shown on each output before you pick one. A conversion that fails costs nothing.
Is my file kept private?
Yes. It is uploaded into private storage, converted on our server and only your own account can download the result. Nothing you upload is shared with anyone, and two-factor authentication is required on every account.
Is there a file size limit?
16 MB per file, which is comfortably above the largest real map pack or XDF we have seen.
Who can use the converter?
Anyone with a Remapify account. Signing up is free and takes a couple of minutes, and every account is reviewed before it is activated, because Remapify is a trade portal for workshops and tuners.
Convert your first file.
Upload it and see what is inside for free. You only pay for the file you download.
